Know the look before the appointment.

“Just a little off the ends” can mean different things to different people. With GlowUpSync, customers can show the pictures they have chosen, explain what they have in mind and speak with the salon before selecting an appointment.

The customer chooses what to show

Customers can keep hairstyle inspiration in their own personal gallery, with notes and ratings. The gallery is private by default. When a customer wants to ask about a look or book a service, they choose which photos to share for that interaction.

It is a useful starting point for a conversation, without assuming the salon needs access to the customer’s entire gallery.

A customer choosing which of their hairstyle photos Sorven, their stylist, will see, on a phone: two are chosen, each with the customer’s own star rating. The others stay private.

A conversation comes before the calendar

A customer can ask the salon about a style, include selected inspiration photos and explain what they want. The salon can reply, suggest a service or stylist, and bring a stylist into the discussion when appropriate.

The consultation is separate from the booking. No appointment is made until the customer chooses a time.

A consultation on a phone: the customer asks for something softer and easier to look after this winter and adds two photos, and Tanya, the owner, suggests a Restyle cut and finish with Elvara, €85, with a link to book it.

Extra information where a service needs approval

For a service that requires approval, the salon can ask the customer for information before confirming the booking. The owner or a qualified stylist can review the request, ask for more detail or explain the decision. This is an optional workflow chosen by the salon for relevant services, not a claim that every booking needs approval.

An approval request on a computer, as the owner sees it: Soft balayage and finish for Avelin Alderfen, €155, with the photo of their hair they sent and their answer to the salon’s question, and a Decide panel to approve, ask for more or not approve.

Photos are shared for a purpose

For a booking, the photos a customer chooses to share are visible to the salon owner and the stylist assigned to that appointment, rather than to every team member. Consultation access follows the roles and participants in that conversation. Customers can add or remove the photos they have shared with a booking later.

For the owner, the stylist and the customer

  • The customer has a place to collect ideas and decide what to share.
  • The stylist can see relevant inspiration when they are part of the booking or consultation.
  • The salon can understand the requested service and organise availability and approvals.

The aim is a clearer discussion before the appointment, not to replace professional advice or an in-person assessment.

Questions salon owners ask

Will the salon see every photo in a customer’s gallery?

No. The customer selects the photos to share for a booking or consultation; the personal gallery is private by default.

Can customers talk to the salon before they book?

Yes. They can start a consultation and the salon can respond or make a suggestion. The customer books only when they choose a time.

Is every service subject to approval?

No. The salon decides which services require approval, and customers follow that additional step only where relevant.

Can I use this with my existing salon today?

The shared fictional demo lets you explore the experience, but onboarding and subscriptions for real salons are not open yet. Contact us if you would like to discuss a future setup.
