Setting up is free. Taking real bookings is the paid step. Review: the planned service: salon setup isn't open yet (DECISIONS D-36)
There’s no time-limited trial. Salon setup isn’t open yet. When it is, it will work like this:
- Prepare your salon, free. Add your details, services, team, hours and branding. There’s no card and no deadline.
- Preview it. Real customers can’t book while you’re preparing, so you can take your time.
- Start paid plan when you’re ready. Before you confirm, you’ll see how many stylists are bookable and what your first bill will be. Real bookings and billing begin only then.
We’ll set up the first salons with them personally, once salon setup is ready. Self-service comes later. Ask to be one of them
For stylists
A stylist’s own account is free: their profile and portfolio, whether or not they work in a salon.
For salons
The salon’s subscription is priced per bookable stylist on the salon’s team.
Customer payments
Customers pay the salon. GlowUpSync currently records payments received; it does not take online booking payments.
How billing will work Review: the planned service: billing isn't built yet (DECISIONS D-35)
Salons can’t subscribe yet, so nothing here can be started or charged today.
- Who counts
- A stylist counts once your salon makes them available to be booked through GlowUpSync. It doesn’t depend on how many appointments they have. An owner or manager who isn’t bookable doesn’t count. An owner who takes bookings does.
- When charges start
- Only when the salon owner chooses Start paid plan. Setting up a salon or adding a stylist never starts a charge.
- How it’s billed
- Monthly, in advance, with no part-month charges.
- Adding a stylist
- There’s no extra charge in the month you’ve paid for. The new total starts at your next renewal.
- Removing a stylist
- You can stop someone being bookable straight away. The fee for the month you’ve paid stands, with no part-month refund, and the lower total starts at your next renewal. Paying for the month doesn’t keep them bookable.
- Cancelling
- Stop renewing at any time, with no fixed term, and no part-month refunds. Your paid access runs to the end of the month you’ve paid for.
- After your paid access ends
- The plan is 30 days of read-only access, so you can view and export your customer records, but not create or edit bookings or records. We then delete them, apart from what the law requires us to keep, such as accounting records, and copies in backups until they clear. Export and deletion aren’t built yet.
For example, 1 bookable stylist is €10 a month, and 3 are €30 a month. VAT applies only where legally required.
Still to settle
Each is needed before the service can start.
- How VAT is shown at checkout, if it applies by then
- A working export of a salon’s records, and the deletion that follows it
- What the law requires us to keep, and for how long
- Exactly which records are deleted, and how backups clear
- The booking system’s own record-keeping brought into line with this
- Exactly what a salon can do before paying, once setup is built
